Mmyeah, he does. On a more serious note, though.. I'm beginning to get the feeling that Naruto (The show, not Naruto himself) is feigning more and more in Dbz's direction. I mean.. compare episode 10 to 18 (Zabuza) to 131 to 134. (I'm not saying it doesn't look kickass, because it does. But I fear they might go too far with the all powerful. >_>; )

You may not have seen these yet because they aren't on cartoon network yet though >.>
Seen them all in original japanese with subs, Naruto is better overall. It spreads to a much wider audience, and has high quality content for a show that's aimed at kids ages 8-12. I want you to find SpongeBob episodes with this kind of quality.

You don't compare animes based on your own personal preference, you base it on how well they do on their designed goal. Naruto is by far the most successful anime since like, Inuyasha.

The Manga's much better. I generally just fast forward through the new episodes to watch the animated fight scenes, that's about it. In everything else the manga has the upper hand.
Yes, the manga is more set in teenage-adult tone. More gore, less stall, you name it. The only thing it doesn't have is animated fights, which is a shame :P because fights like G vs K (XD don't wanna spoil it) was damn fast.
Otherwise, the manga is a much better representation. Though there are filler times when it just makes the anime worth it (drunken lee, lee vs gaara, sasuke vs oro, oro vs 3rd)

My ONLY disapointment was in (This is kind of a spoiler) Sasuke's transformation. What kind of crazy webbed hand/wing thing was that? Jeez, just give the guy 2 black wings or something... those were just terrible looking imo.
It made sense because Kimimaro had the Earth Seal, which is duh, ground based or something, while Sasuke had the Heaven Seal, which wings represent an angel. Black was to represent a fallen angel of some sort. Blah blah blah, you can take it from here. Cheesy yes, made sense? Yes.

Anyone know who that was watching the fight? Was that the leader of that other group?
I won't give the name out, but he's not the leader. He's probably their best spy though.

Somewhat, the anime has a bad representation. If you compare the beginnign Zabuza arc to the Sasuke chase arc, you might think "holy crap, naruto/sasuke can totally beat up zabuza now" but in reality, they just have insane power for their age. Notice how all older ninjas don't pull off huge moves much, and go for more subtle things. Because big moves such as chidori and rasengan are a huge waste of chakra, not to mention it is hard to learn. Jounins in general don't like to rely on one big fat fireball or something to take their enemy down, whereas Sasuke/Naruto only know a small selection of moves. Lastly, Naruto has the easiest excuse for power, while Sasuke has the powers of an Uchiha, and the curse seal. It should be noted that while the animation was kickass and was "woaahh their like dbzing", their not actually that powerful. If you compared the massive explosion they had when they impacted together, it would barely be bigger if not smaller then the hell swamp Jiraiya summoned with his fingers. Every ninja in the universe has their way of being powerful, just that the main two guys just happen to be impact players. Guys like Kakashi are uber-well rounded, whereas people like Kabuto are extremely subtle. But their not nessecarily better. If you want a really good example of this, compare Kisame to Itachi. No way in hell unless the manga proves it, is Kisame better then Itachi. And Kisame has HUGE moves.

Xellos: I didn't really mean it like that. I should have said "Look how it's built up beginning from Zabuza arc to Chase Sasuke arc" as in.. that, and everything between it. It went from strong, to stronger, to absurdly strong. I don't really mind it, but my fear is that they go too far eventually. I for one, don't read Mangas (I hate picture books, an' I'll take a million of big words stuffed onto old pages over that any time. 'nuff said.) so I don't know how it's gonna end out. xP

Naruto isn't on CN until the fall, so it would seem that if we are talking about an anime that is currently only in Japan that we'd probably be enough into anime to know of other shows out there.

Also, I still feel that Naruto is a better anime than those you listed. Though Champloo is genius.

Well, we now have the new episode POST Sasuke and Naruto battle. I was completely cool with the slow down and recovery and glad to see they didn't kill off two fun characters (I was worried they might).

On the downside they continue to play Naruto's stubborness deeper and deeper to a fault. I was hoping he would see the light and finally relent to Jiraiya and accept the training.

I was hoping to catch the next episode and see the words "Three Years Later" and find the cast older, wiser, and stronger. This way we could skip the fluff that will come with training and continue the current storyline.

Ah well, we'll see how it goes.
